We asked the "Jiu Jitsu Therapist" and host of the Chewjitsu Podcast about his training and wellness routine and how he leverages microdosing to his advantage.

Can you give us a quick overview / summary of your athletic background and what lead you to BJJ?

My athletic career span from mostly playing team sports. I grew up playing soccer and played competitively throughout high school. I never thought that I would practice martial arts in any serious capacity.

While I was in graduate school to become a physical therapist, I Had a friend that told me about an MMA gym. I decided to stop in for a BJJ class. I was curious because Jiu-Jitsu was fascinating to me since I was a young kid, and I would watch the UFC with my dad and remember watching Royce in the first UFCs. I remember showing up for my first class, and I was the only one in the beginner class. I was fascinated by the techniques and how easily I could be controlled by someone with knowledge of jiu-jitsu. So I just kept showing up… and have been training since 2008.

How long have you been training and what are some of your top accomplishments?

I’ve been training BJJ Since 2008 and have won some regional tournaments, but I would say that my top accomplishments are being a good leader and an effective coach that inspires and is able to guide my students to reach their goal goals and their highest potential.

What are some of the key aspects of your health and wellness routine as an athlete or coach?

As a BJJ black belt and doctor of physical therapy, I place a high importance on mobility, strength and conditioning, recovery, diet, and most Importantly, listening to your body and its needs to stay on the mats at your best.

Can you describe how you like to use ATHLETHC mints and how it is different from your previous experiences with THC?

The mints are incredibly useful for being more open and receptive when training and have been a great supplement to help recover and relax after training.

What benefits do you tend to notice from microdosing with our performance THC mints?

ATHLETHC mints have been an incredibly useful tool in allowing me to both relax, slow down, keep a more open mind, and also gain a sense of connection while training BJJ.

What is your favorite formula and flavor?

I really love the Flow mints because I can use them while I’m being creative and while I’m training. They are convenient and consistent, and I know exactly the effects that they will have when I use them.
